Conference Chair
Victorian Biodiversity Conference Co-planning and hosting of the first virtual Victorian Biodiversity Conference. The conference ran over 2 days, attracting 61 speakers and more than 300 attendees from university, government, industry and community sectors. We also hosted four plenary sessions and two panel sessions throughout the two days. Higher Degrees by Research Representative School of Life & Environmental Sciences, Deakin University Organised career and personal development workshops for HDR students, implemented a competitive funding scheme for individual training and represented students at the faculty and school level. Conference Co-Chair & Chapter Head Aust. & NZ Student Chapter for the Society for Marine Mammalogy Student Chapter Meeting Co-organised and ran the 5th biennial student chapter meeting for the Australian & New Zealand Student Chapter for the Society of Marine Mammalogy (ANZSCSMM) alongside 3 other organisers. This conference was held virtually, over 3 days, allowing for attendees from across the world. We hosted two plenary sessions, one panel and a graphic design workshop. |
